Role Summary
League Relations:
- Communicate with the MCSAO in a professional, respectful manner that reflects positively upon the culture and mission of Phoenix schools
- Attend MCSAO meetings with or in place of school-based Athletic Directors
- Take and share out all relevant notes to Heads of Schools and school-based Athletic Directors
Cross-Network Events:
- With consultation from school-based Operations staff and school-based Athletic Directors, plan and execute all cross-network athletic events.
Best Practice Documentation
- Create document that shares best practices happening across Phoenix schools including, but not limited do:
- Successful communication/excitement strategies
- Team events, such as end-of-year banquets
- Retention efforts for students
- Building connections to college
- Identify and visit 3-4 similar schools with successful athletic programs to understand program development and best practices; share notes with all school-based athletic directors
Pilot Efforts
- In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer, identify 1-2 pilot initiatives that can be tested at a single school site to further the success of Phoenix’s athletic program during the 2018-2019 school year
