Role Summary

The Recruitment Manager is an essential member of the Phoenix team, directly responsible for finding and recruiting-for-hire diverse, highly-skilled, and mission-aligned instructional and non-instructional staff. In addition, the Recruitment Manager assists efforts toward supporting employee retention, building relationships internally and externally, and sharing the vision of the Phoenix Charter Academy Network with new and existing partners.

Specific Responsibilities

 

Candidate Cultivation

  • Support the development of teacher and staff pipelines
  • Develop and execute a rigorous interview process
  • Passionately and effectively communicate the benefits of choosing Phoenix
  • Responsively coordinate interview logistics
  • Ensure positive interview experience for both applicants and involved staff through responsive communication around scheduling and interview logistics

 

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Work creatively and relentlessly to solve complex recruitment challenges
  • Coordinate hiring logistics across the network’s three campuses - Chelsea, Lawrence, and Springfield
  • Develop strong relationships with hiring managers across the network
  • Facilitate interview team debriefs
  • Anticipate the needs of schools based on the hiring landscape
  • Support the recruitment of AmeriCorps Fellows as needed

 

Special Projects

  • Represent Phoenix externally and support partnership building
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system (TalentED) and all external job postings (SchoolSpring, Nemnet, and more)
  • Successfully lead and manage special projects through to completion
    • Teacher Pathways to Certification
    • Wellness Week
    • Teacher Appreciation Week
    • Data tracking

 

Qualifications

  • Deep belief in the mission of Phoenix Charter Academy Network
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of recruitment experience
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • A commitment to providing equity and access for all scholars in an educational setting
  • Model strong judgement and decision-making
  • Detail-oriented with superb follow-through
  • Proven record of successfully taking initiative
  • Growth-oriented mindset: a desire to learn and grow as a professional
